Hydraulic Pump and Motor Repair
We strip, diagnose and rebuild hydraulic pumps and motors of all types from our workshop in Ross-on-Wye. We specialise in hydrostatic units and work on all the major brands. If it's not worth repairing, we'll tell you and help you find a replacement.
Pumps We Work On
We repair and rebuild all common hydraulic pump types:
Gear pumps — internal and external gear, including tandem units
Piston pumps — axial and radial piston, fixed and variable displacement
Vane pumps — single and double vane
Hydrostatic pumps — including variable displacement units commonly found on tractors, combines and self-propelled machinery
We work on equipment from Parker, Bosch Rexroth, Eaton, Danfoss, Sauer-Sunstrand, Bucher and others. If you're not sure whether we cover your make or model, call us.
Motors We Work On
Orbital and gerotor motors — common on agricultural machinery, loaders and attachments
Bent-axis motors
Axial piston motors
Hydrostatic drive motors — including wheel motor and track drive applications
Same brands as above. Same approach: strip, inspect, rebuild, test.

Hydrostatic Transmission Repair
Hydrostatic transmissions — the closed-loop pump and motor systems found on tractors, combine harvesters, telehandlers and similar machinery, are specialist work.
They're more complex than a simple gear pump replacement and not every workshop will take them on. We do.
We have the experience and the equipment to diagnose, strip and rebuild hydrostatic units properly.
If you're getting slipping, loss of drive, or overheating, it's worth talking to us before writing the unit off.
How We Price the Work
We strip and inspect first, and can give you a quote before we do anything. That way there are no surprises.
If we strip a pump and find it's beyond economic repair, we'll charge for the inspection — but if you buy a replacement unit through us, we'll discount the inspection cost against the new part.
If you want a rough steer before sending anything in, give us a call and describe what the unit is doing. We can usually tell you whether it's worth investigating.
Sending Your Unit to Us
You don't need to be local. Customers send pumps and motors to us from across the UK.
Pack the unit securely and send it to:

Once the work is done, we can return it to you. We use DPD for most jobs, or a pallet carrier for larger or heavier units. If you'd prefer to arrange your own return courier, that's fine too, just let us know when you call.
